Round 1 (9) Anthony Davis
OT Rutgers Height: 6050 Weight:325

Davis is a versatile and talented lineman with unlimited upside. He has a quick first step and anchors well. He is mobile and Rutgers use his athleticism to lead the charge on many pulls and traps. He is a perfect fit for Gailey, who likes putting his lineman on the move.  Davis is capable of playing inside at guard or either tackle position. He could start out on the right side were he can learn for a year before making the move to the blindside. Versatility will be an important factor the Bills will be seeking as they try to figure how to get the best 5 lineman on the field. The Bills can't pass up yet another opportunity to solidify the tackle position. The addition of Davis would mean the Bills will have legitimate competition at every line spot. The Bills would love one of the two QBs to drop here, but it may be a blessing in disguise because the surest path to turning things around isby making a comitment to building a dominant line. Davis along with Wood and Levitre will give the Bills a young core of lineman to build around. Bell, Butler and Meredith will battle Hangartner and if he is resigned, Incognito for the remaining starting spots.

Previous Selection: Rolando McClain, LB

Round 2 (9) Maurkice Pouncey
C
Florida Height: 6050 Weight: 318

Pouncey is an athletic, smart and tough center who will fit perfectly in a Gailey system that asks his lineman to be on the move.  Eric Wood may miss the season and Hangartner is a serviceable utility lineman but for the Bills to compete in the AFC East, with a rookie QB and rookie coach they will need to build a dominant offensive line. Pouncey would give the Bills their 4th top 2 round lineman in the past 2 drafts. Long term Meredith, Bell and Butler can compete for the remaining open spot. Short term, Butler can move back to right guard until Wood comes back or they can re-sign Incognito for one season.  This pick will give the Bills the potential to have a truly dominant offensive line in place for the next decade.

Previous Selection: Tim Tebow

Round 3 (9)
Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma State Height: 6023 Weight: 210

Zac Robinson is an intriguing prospect. Like all of this year's QBs, he has several questions that he needs to answer but he started to answer some of them with a solid Senior Bowl week. Robinson is a natural leader with a elite athletic ability for the position. He may have the best feet and elusiveness in the pocket  of any of the prospects. He senses blind side pressure and steps up with his eyes down field. He has a lighting quick release and can spin the ball on a rope down the seem or to the sideline on a deep out. He doesn't have elite arm strength but  its enough to make all the throws. His deep ball isn't the most accurate and he spent his career in Oklahoma States spread offense, so it will take some time for him to adjust to a pro style offense, but his rapid progress senior bowl week was a good sign. He battled significant injuries down the stretch and his play dropped off noticeably in his final three games. He will need to bulk up to survive at the next level, but  there is no doubting his toughness. He would do well paired with Gailey as the coach will get the most out of his athleticism and pocket presence. A system that gets him out of the pocket and allows him to create will be best. I have come full circle with Robinson since mid season when I had him rated as a 2nd to 3rd rounder but then dropped him significantly as he failed to produce with the spot light on him. However, the extent of the injuries he was playing through clearly were a factor. Now with the hiring of Gailey, I once again think Robinson would be a good fit in Buffalo, especially when considering he is a native of Colorado and not a warm weather climate. His tight spiral will be needed to battle the Buffalo winds.

Previous Selection: Chris Scott

Round 4 (9)
Linval Joseph
NT East Carolina Height: 6060 Weight: 322

Joseph is a massive NT with the frame to get even bigger. He has the strength to collapse the pocket and stuff the run. He had a team leading 12.5 tackles for loss for East Carolina and should develop into a 3 down player. While the new defensive coordinator for teh Bills has yet to be named, rumors are swirling that they will be making a switch to a 3-4 or a hybrid system. Adding a bigger true NT will  instantly transform Buffalo's putrid run defense and free up Poz and Kawika to make plays behind him. In a 3-4 I see Kyle Williams, Spencer Johnson and Marcus Stroud as 5 technique defensive ends, or 3 tech DT's. Joseph would give the Bills the versatility they need.

Previous selection: Ekom Udofia

Round 5 (9)
Mike Hoomanawanui TE BYU Height: 6041 Weight: 245

Mike Hoomanawanui (MH) is a sure handed TE who is a devastating old school in-line blocker. He takes great pride in his blocking ability who will effectively serve as an extra tackle to help stretch out the field. Gailey's offense utilizes the entire width of the field and MH would really help put pressure on defenses to defend from sideline to sideline, which will help diminish the benefit of bringing 8 defenders in the box. He does a great job getting to the second level in the run game and will help protect the edge, capping the tackle in the pass game. While he lacks elite speed for the position and will not stretch the seem, he does provide a big safety valve in the passing game. He is the perfect complement to Nelson who can line up at h-back or in the slot  in 2 TE sets. All purpose TE Derek Fine completes the solid core of young TE's with complimentary skill sets. A solid senior bowl week likely moved him up to the 5th round.

Previous selection: Dennis Pitta

Round 6 (9) Stevenson Sylvester LB Utah Height:  6020 Weight: 225

Sylvester is a 3-4 rush linebacker with a great closing burst. He is a limited athlete with stiff hips who would be a liability in coverage and is at his best playing down hill. He is undersized but he has the frame to add some bulk. Sylvester is capable of making the big hit and would be an effective situational pass/run blitzer and a special teams demon. He caught scouts attention with a dynamic performance in last year's sugar bowl against Alabama but was slowed by injuries this season. However a strong performance in the Poinsettia Bowl and at the Shrine game has his stock once again on the rise.

Previous selection: John Skelton

Round 6(Peters Trade)
Brandon Deaderick DE Alabama Height: 6040 Weight: 294

Classic 5 tech DE that helped anchor the nations best defense. You want some more toughness in Buffalo? Deadrick was shot in the arm during a robbery attempt on the Monday before a game early in the season and played on Saturday.

Previous selection: Ryan Stamper

Round 7 (9) Marcus Easley
WR UConn Height: 6020 Weight: 216
The former walk on emerged as UConn go to receiver this year. He has a great size/speed ratio. He could rise once scouts see his combine workouts, but for now  he is a real sleeper.
Previous selection: No change
Round 7 (Simpson Trade) Ekom Udofia NT Stanford Height: 6016 Weight: 326

Udofia was the anchor in the middle of Stanford's line. He has great size weighing in at the Shrine Game at a solid 326 , plays with a real mean streak and non stop motor. He fires off the ball, has a nice swim and spin move and remarkable agility for his size. Like most big guys his size he wears down quickly and needs to be spelled during the course of a game. He has great strength and can clog the middle against a double team. He is scheme diverse and can play the nose, 1 tech or 3 tech. Gailey has given clues that ultimately the Bills will switch to the 3-4 or some hybrid scheme. Udofia is a perfect fit in the middle and can instantly help improve the Bills run defense. Initially he will be a 2 down player as a run stuffing specialist, but eventually should develop into a 3 down player capable of collapsing the pocket against the pass to go along with his potentially dominant run stuffing ability. The strength and versatility he has may soon make him a key to the Bills defense. Had a sack in the Shrine game but did not get an invite to the combine.

Previous selection: Brandon Deaderick
