The Buffalo Bandits are staying confident as they take on the Washington Stealth tonight at the Comcast Arena at 11 p.m.

After dropping the first two games of the season to the Rochester Knighthawks, the Bandits are not sulking in their losses.

“I don’t think it’s a huge worry right now, and I don’t think we are in any kind of panic mode” Assistant Coach Duane Jacobs said. “We were really pleased with our effort last week and felt that if we didn’t make a couple of errors and our power play was a bit better, we could’ve come out with a win.”

In their first meeting since 2006, the Stealth will serve as a challenge for the Bandits.  The Stealth opened the season with a decisive win over Colorado, and improved their record last weekend to 2-0 with a decisive win over Edmonton.

“We realize it will be a tough game this weekend, but we have good leadership and eight new players who have been worked into the system” Jacobs said. “Right now we feel pretty good about ourselves despite the record of 0-2.”
